Before Booking
No - Hire is not permitted for Booze Cruises, Stag or Hen groups or similar.
Do you permit `BOOZE CRUISES`, Hen or Stag groups aboard your boats?
Do you require a Security Deposit?
Yes - In addition to the cost of hire a refundable £250 CASH deposit will be asked for on the day of hire.

Are there any age restrictions?
Yes - Your group must consist of 2 people who are 25 years or older at the time of booking.
How do I book?
Please make your booking online. Full payment by PayPal, Credit or Debit card is required at the time of booking.
Can I confirm numbers and/or the details of some of my group at a later date?
Yes - Please make a booking with the confirmed members of your group (minimum 2 people over 25 years). Names and ages are requested. Amendments should be made In advance of your day of hire by email. Amendments are subject to our terms and conditions and must meet minimum and maximum boat capacities.
Can I still hire if I do not have any experience?
Yes - Many of our hirers have little or no boating experience. You will receive a safety briefing, instruction, demonstrations and have a river trial before setting off on your day's hire. We also offer a Skipper for the day, so that you can just relax and enoy the journey.
What is access onto the boat like?
Access to the boat is up and over a riverbank. Our boats have a few steps inside
Can I hire a boat for a few hours?
Whilst we prefer full-day boat hire, please ring Dan to discuss bespoke packages.
Can I change the start time?
Yes - Subject to availability we may be able to handover the boat a little earlier or later to you.
Please contact us prior to making a booking and confirm the change in the comments box when you make your booking.
The boat would still need to be returned by our advertised hire end time though.
Are babies and/or small children included in your advertised boat capacity?
Yes - Each person, regardless of size or age, counts towards the capacity.
Can I bring my Dog(s)?
No - sorry we do not permit dogs or any pets on our boats.
Yes - Car Parking is limited to 2 cars per booking though.
Have you got a Car Park?
Can I bring Fishing Equipment, Inflatables, paddleboards etc
No - sorry.
Can I smoke or vape aboard?
No - All of our boats are non-smoking and non-vaping.
Before Hire
What happens if we are unable to make our booking?
As long as you give us notice of at least 8 days we can change your date of hire.
Unfortunately we cannot change your date of hire within 7 days of hire. We do not offer refunds for any cancellations.
Can we change the date of our booking prior to hire?
Yes - Subject to our T&Cs. If you wish to change the date of your hire then we require notice of 8 days or more.
A change of date cannot be made within 7 days or less for any reason.
Can I change the number of people or names on my booking?
Yes - Amendments should be made In advance of your day of hire by email.
Amendments are subject to our terms and conditions and must meet minimum and maximum boat capacities.
On the Day of Hire
What do I need to bring with me?
Please only bring what you need for the day as there is limited storage on our boats. It is usually cooler on the water, so layers are the best option. It is a good idea to wear flat, soft-soled shoes.
If you are not intending to have a `pub` lunch, then don`t forget to bring a picnic.
How do I find you?
We are at based in the village of Little Ouse/Brandon Bank, PE38 0PU approximately 2 miles from the A1101, just a few miles east of Littleport. Turn off the A1101, just south of Littleport, onto White House Road, drive carefully 2 miles up the very bumpy road to
the river and then over the little Iron bridge. Our car park is then straight ahead, on the left of the driveway of Iron Bridge Farm House.
What can I expect on the Day?
Once we have issued your group with buoyancy aids we will ask your nominated Captain and/or First Mate to check condition of the outside and inside of the boat.. Your group will then need to listen to the safety briefing prior to boarding the boat. We will talk you through the features and operation of the boat and ask you to sign our handover form. Once We have taken you on a short river trial and you are happy to do so you can then leave our base for your days' cruise. Please allow approx 30 minutes for the handover which may be slightly longer depending on your needs.
The boat needs to be returned by the advertised return time as detailed on `Our Boat` page.
Can I bring Prams, Buggies, Tables & Chairs etc?
Please only bring what is necessary. There is limited storage on the boat, especially for large items such as prams. Any items taken aboard must be stowed safely and securely not damaging soft furnishings and not restricting exits/access in an emergency.
Can I swap or add to group members during hire?
No - For safety all members of the booking must arrive at the hire start time and be issued with buoyancy aids. During hire no changes are permitted to the group numbers or composition by allowing additional people or swapping group members.
What happens if I am late arriving on the morning of hire?
Please let us know if you are going to be late. We will do our best to hand over the boat as soon as you arrive.
Can I go swimming during hire?
If you want to go swimming then it is up to you to assess whether it is safe to do so. For safety please do not swim in the vicinity of the boat or any boats that are moving and do not allow anyone to be towed by the boat. The Buoyancy Aids we supply you with are not to be used for floatation whilst swimming. Please do not take wet clothes/gear inside the boat.
Does the Security Deposit need to be in Cash?
Yes -We are not able to take card payments.
Other Questions
Do you offer overnight stays or short breaks?
No - Our boats are for day-hire only.
You are welcome to hire on subsequent days, but the boat will need to be bought back to base and vacated until the following day.
